What they are saying about us

Going away with Miranz Tours is like going away with a group of friends except someone else is in control (guides Rina & Marilyn) so you don’t have to be.

The small group size allows for personalised attention, a more immersive experience and the ability to be flexible.

The Greek Delights tour is just the right mix of guided tours, history, exploring, free time and relaxing by the fabulous beaches or swimming pools, all the while staying in comfortable, well-appointed accommodation in great locations (think relaxing in the bar of an evening with the fabulous, illuminated Acropolis as a backdrop).

Our tour of Greece in June 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary. From the beautiful waters of the Sea to the ancient ruins and history, made it a memorable experience. The journey, however, was made even more special thanks to Rina, whose fluency in the local language and profound knowledge of the area opened doors to experiences we could have never imagined on a standard commercial tour.

Thank you, Rina and Marilyn, for an incredible tour. You have given us memories that will last a lifetime, and for that, we are truly grateful.

It was an adventure that you have to do. The experiences from the places we visit such as the delicious Greek food or the beautiful architecture and museums we saw, and the beautiful places and islands we visit that aren’t quite pumping with tourists made it all that bit more enjoyable. To be on a tour with a bunch of other Australians also encouraged many new friendships to be made and lots of laughs to be shared as we all tried our best to learn the Greek language.

We travelled with Miranz Tours on their June 2024 small group tour of Greece and would highly recommend their tours.

Owners Rina and Marilyn have Greek heritage with local knowledge of the best places to visit, eat, shop etc, avoiding the crowds but still seeing all the highlights of Greece.

All our accommodation was centrally located and we travelled in a comfortable coach with a local driver.

Their itinerary provided a good mix of sightseeing with free time. It was good being only a small group (max of 16). We even visited their ancestors home village and house.

Take us back!

The Greek Delights Tour 2025 was really Impressive! From the ancient ruins of Athens to the stunning sunsets in Trizonia, every day was filled with incredible sights, delicious food, great accommodation and fun with new friends. The itinerary was perfectly balanced for a small group — we saw so much without ever feeling rushed. Rina, Marilyn and Xristos recognise and understand so much of the local knowledge, which is included in the well organised itinerary with its ‘off the beaten track’ theme. It felt like traveling with a group of friends! We’d recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the sights and culture of Greece in a way that’s both authentic and hassle-free.

Mandy & I joined Miranz Tours for the September 2024 tour (Rina was our host) & from the outset we were taken back by the beautiful villages, the people, the history of Greece, the sights, the ruins & the food.

Some of the places that we visited there were so many , so here’s a snippet:

Commencing in Athens, a meet & greet with Rina evening at a great restaurant. We visited markets, taking in the sights, taking in the changing of the guard at government house, the views of the Parthenon & enjoying the Greek hospitality, food, drink & the walks through the streets of Athens.

We started the tour:

Syros, an island about 2hrs from Athens by ferry, the restaurants, shops, the harbour & a little village high above Syros with the only mode of transport is a donkey, amazing old homes. From here we visited a beautiful beach side resort in Galissas where we stayed for a few nights & headed off to a beach cove called Vari , crystal clear water, great lunch & waiter service on the beach, can’t go wrong!😊

Back to Athens after the island of Syros & surrounds, Athens is so historic visiting the Parthenon & Museum just amazing the history. We went on a cultural walking food tour, the food the markets were just great. Also visiting the home of the first modern Olympics, walking the track & also entering thought the athlete’s tunnel to the track, a walk through the beautiful gardens across from the Olympic track & always along the way a stop for a quite sip of the local beers which I can highly recommend😊.

From Athens we had a coach trip to the beautiful seaside village of Napflio, with very old & beautiful accommodation looking over the city square & restaurants, walks along the foreshore filled with restaurants, there magnificent yachts moored along the foreshore soaking up the magnificent sunsets & we took in a boat trip across to a tiny island of an ancient fort that protected Napflio in the early war times.

From Napflio we visited another seaside village of Nafpaktos amazing ruins high above the village & wonderful spot for a sip with magnificent views of the Corinthian Gulf & surrounding landscapes.

Probably my favourite would be a tiny island Trizonia, population of 60 no cars or motorbikes & 5-minute boat trip from the mainland, hotel was beautiful right on the Corinthian Gulf & the water, once again crystal-clear & great swimming & the views wow! Great restaurant had the best prawns I’ve eaten. Honestly, I could retire there!

From here we started heading back to Athens to conclude the tour, more restaurants & more of the sights & the farewell dinner taking in the view of the Parthenon all lit up at night.

All I can really say is do yourself a favour & book a relaxing, informative & wonderful holiday with the best host’s in Miranz Tours, you won’t be disappointed.
